MBK Center (Ma Boon Khrong)

MBK Center (Ma Boon Khrong)
Eight levels built in 1985 that never quite evolved into a modern mall.
Instead, MBK became Bangkok's epicenter for replicas, refurbished electronics, and things you didn't know existed until you saw them.
The hook everyone whispers about: fake designer goods. Nike, Adidas, Yeezy replicas on open display (฿2,600 Yeezys when originals cost ฿12,000). High-end designer bag copies locked in back cupboards—vendors only show them if you ask directly. Police raid occasionally, so quality fakes appear and disappear based on enforcement cycles. MAC, Urban Decay, Kylie Jenner makeup lookalikes on Level 2. It's questionable, borderline illegal, and consistently packed with shoppers.

Monika's Tip
Level 4 has the best refurbished electronics. Vendors test phones in front of you and offer warranties. My friend bought a 'refurbished' iPhone there—turned out to be brand new, just grey market import.
