Roof 409 Bar & Bistro

Roof 409 Bar & Bistro
No elevator.
Six flights of stairs. Mismatched retro furniture that looks stolen from different grandmothers' homes. And somehow, it's one of Bangkok's most beloved rooftop bars.
The 6th floor location on Soi Rang Nam gives you Skytrain views nobody else has—watching trains pass at eye level while you sip local beer. Live jazz sessions happen randomly. The crowd is students and artists who can't afford Sky Bar prices but want the rooftop experience. It's hippy, chaotic, and absolutely authentic.

Monika's Tip
The kitchen makes better Thai food than most 'authentic' tourist restaurants. Order the green curry—it's ฿150 and could easily cost ฿350 elsewhere. The chef's mom owns the place."
