Cancellation Policy

We understand that travel plans change. Here is everything you need to know about cancelling, rescheduling or modifying your booking.

Cancelling Your Tour

*Refunds do not include payment processing fees charged by our payment provider. These are non-recoverable on our end.

The 12-hour rule is calculated from your confirmed pickup time, not the tour's general start window.

Cancellations Within 12 Hours — Credit on Request

If something unexpected happens and you need to cancel within 12 hours of your tour, please contact us. We cannot issue a refund at this stage, but we will do our best to apply your payment as credit toward a future booking within 3 months.

This is at HiMonika's discretion and cannot be guaranteed, but we will always try to find a fair solution for genuine circumstances.

Rebooking After a Cancellation

If you cancel your tour and make a new booking within 60 days, the new booking is non-refundable regardless of the notice given at the time of the new booking.

This policy exists to protect guide availability — every booking blocks Monika's calendar for that date.

No-Shows

If you are not at your hotel lobby at the confirmed pickup time and have not contacted us, the tour is forfeited and no refund is issued.

If you are running late, please contact Monika on WhatsApp immediately. For tours with fixed start times (Sunrise Almsgiving, Damnoen Saduak, Tha Kha, Khao Yai), late arrival may result in the tour being cancelled without refund as these cannot be delayed on the day.

Rescheduling Your Tour

We are happy to reschedule your tour provided you give enough notice.

One free reschedule per booking. If you need to reschedule a second time, a THB 1,500 rescheduling fee applies.

Rescheduled tours must be taken within 3 months of the original tour date and are subject to guide availability. We cannot always guarantee the same pickup time on the new date.

If We Cancel Your Tour

We rarely cancel, but in the event of guide illness, extreme weather or circumstances beyond our control, we will contact you as early as possible and offer:

  • A full refund to your original payment method, or
  • A free reschedule to a date that suits you

HiMonika is not responsible for any additional travel costs — flights, accommodation or other arrangements — affected by an operator cancellation.

How to Cancel or Reschedule

Contact us as early as possible through either of the following:

Please include your booking reference, tour name and the date of your booking. Cancellations and reschedule requests are only confirmed once you receive a written response from us.

Refund Timeline

Approved refunds are processed within 3–5 business days of confirmation. The time for the refund to appear in your account depends on your bank or card provider and may take up to 10 business days in total.

Refunds are returned to the original payment method used at booking.
