River Kwai Bridge Market

River Kwai Bridge Market
Where tragedy and commerce collide.
The market sprawls along the river's edge, close enough to the famous Death Railway bridge that you can see it while eating. It's touristy, yes—but it's also the only night market positioned on a river's edge this beautiful, and the mix of Western and Thai food stalls makes it perfect for families where everyone wants something different.
The real draw is the location. Grab food from five different vendors, find a spot on the low wall right at the water's edge, and have possibly the most scenic street food picnic in Thailand.

Monika's Tip
Skip the main food area. Walk past the bridge toward the temple side—there's a row of six local Thai food carts that serve the vendors themselves. Prices are half, portions are double, and the pad krapow is incredible.
