Chiang Mai University Night Market

Chiang Mai University Night Market
This is where students eat, which means two things: ultra-cheap prices and authentically Thai flavors (no tourist-adapted sweetness).
The night market caters to university budgets—฿40 can fill you completely, ฿100 feels like a feast.
It's not fancy. Plastic stools, fluorescent lights, vendors shouting over each other. But your baht goes three times further here than at Nimman's hipster night markets, and the quality doesn't drop to match the prices.

Monika's Tip
The mango sticky rice vendor near the back entrance uses Mae Taeng mangoes—smaller, sweeter, more expensive than regular. Same price as everywhere else (฿60) but noticeably better quality.
