Erawan Waterfall Trail (Tiers 1-3 - Easy)

The first three tiers of Erawan National Park's seven-tier waterfall system provide easy access via concrete paths and gentle stairs.

Hlai Khun Rang (Tier 1 - Flowing Back to Nest), Wang Matcha (Tier 2 - Fish Pond), and Pha Nam Tok (Tier 3 - Waterfall Cliff) offer emerald green pools safe for swimming. The fish provide natural pedicure experience—sit still and they nibble dead skin.

Most tourists only see these easy tiers then leave thinking they've "done Erawan." The real beauty exists higher, but if you're physically limited or traveling with young children, the first three tiers deliver satisfying experience.

Monika's Tip

"Go straight to tier 3, swim there, then descend hitting tiers 2 and 1 on the way down. Most people stop at each tier ascending, creating crowds at tiers 1-2 all day. Tier 3 stays emptier if you skip the lower tiers initially."
