A canal market that's been trading since 1866. A street market that folds itself back for an active train. Two days' worth of stories in one.
Early start — 6:30–7:30 AM: Pickup is between 6:30–7:30 AM — be ready in your hotel lobby by the earliest time.
Two markets, two entirely different experiences. Damnoen Saduak is Thailand's most famous floating market — wooden boats laden with produce navigating canals that have been a trading route since 1866. Maeklong is something else: a working street market built directly along active railway tracks. When the train passes, vendors fold their entire stalls back in seconds — then set everything up again before the train is out of sight. Both in one day, with time to explore properly at each.

An early start — your guide meets you in the lobby. Please be ready at your confirmed pickup time as the day's schedule depends on it.
Board a traditional wooden rowboat and navigate the canal network. Vendors sell fresh produce, Thai snacks and local specialties from boats on the water. Monika guides you through the market — including the quieter side canals where the atmosphere is more authentic.
A market built directly on active train tracks. Browse the stalls — then watch the entire market transform in seconds when the train arrives, umbrellas folding and produce pulling back to let it through, then everything returning to normal almost immediately.
Your guide returns you to your hotel.

“Born in Chiang Mai and based in Bangkok, I started 'Hi Monika' to show travellers the authentic side of my country — the places my friends and family actually hang out. I love sharing our food, our culture, and the hidden stories of our neighbourhoods.”
“Monika was incredible! We saw parts of Bangkok we never would have found on our own. The street food was amazing and we felt completely safe the entire time.”
“Perfectly organised and so much more personal than a group tour. Monika knew exactly when to go to each spot to avoid the crowds.”
Note: many local vendors and restaurants do not accept credit cards — cash is always the safest option.

The Emerald Buddha isn't emerald. The Reclining Buddha maps the cosmos. There's more here than most visitors ever find out.

A Buddha hidden for centuries. A tower built from donated porcelain. Three temples with stories most visitors walk past.

Bangkok's original roads are canals. Most of the city has forgotten. This tour remembers.
